Description

The Göta forged clasp, the Östgöta clasp, is a beautiful piece of jewelry on its own. It can just as easily be worn with one of the birth flowers, or perhaps with your favorite pendant at home. Each clasp is hand-forged by Veronica Gullbrandson at Ädelsmedjan. It has yellow and blue enamel on both sides, simply because there is no back.

"Blue for the sea and lakes, yellow for the blooming rape fields in the heart of Östergötland. Silver for the formerly vital waterways of Göta and Kinda Canal, which ensured the forging of power and wisdom together in the small principalities, to form the Kingdom of Sweden"

Awarded as the 2006 Östgöta craft by Visit Östergötland and the Regional Association Östsam.

The forged lower part can be engraved, purchase engraving and fill it with your message, name or date.

This piece carries the GR stamp: Your guarantee for a completely hand-forged professional piece of jewellery from Sweden.

GR is the abbreviation for Guldsmedsmästarnas Riksförbund, Swedish for The National Swedish Association of Master Goldsmith's and Jewellers.
