Collection: The Noble Beatle

Selected as Östergötland Handicraft of the Year 2012 by Regionsförbundet Östsam and Visit Östergötland.

The Noble Beetle is shaped like a Hermit Beetle (Osmoderma eremita), Östergötland's provincial insect. An important icon for the preservation of biodiversity in general and the beautiful oak meadows in particular.

Consists of a precious wire soldered into a circle, for the feel that somehow everything is connected and has no beginning or end.
Hand-forged by goldsmith Veronica Gullbrandson in Ädelsmedjan, each beetle resembles its species but is completely unique, just like us and everything else in nature.
Wear it on your lapel or as a pendant like a scarab, and let it quietly remind you and others that it is the small choices in everyday life that preserve the diversity around us.
