Collection: The Kinda Jewellery
The Kinda Jewellery is shaped like a Stone Age boat axe found in the area of Kinda municipality. This is meant to evoke all the early inhabitants of Kinda who lived, thought, and strived to shape what we see and live in today.
The blue symbolizes the Kinda Canal and the many beautiful lakes.
The upper part of the heart represents the hills in the undulating landscape.
The stars form a map with Kisa, Rimforsa, Horn, Hycklinge, Björkfors, and Ydrefors marked.
The Kinda municipal coat of arms is enclosed by a heart, symbolizing the inhabitants' independence, tolerance, and warm-heartedness. This is something we, both residents and visitors, should cherish, expand, and pass on.
The Kinda Jewellery was developed in 1999. I wanted to identify what the people of Kinda considered special and highlight all the beautiful things found here. I read parish books, studied history, and conducted interviews with Kinda residents, and after several prototypes and attempts, the Kinda Jewellery emerged.
