Collection: Yarn ball

The thread has been my companion since I, at the age of 16, first thought about becoming a goldsmith. It gives me a feeling that everything is connected in some way, which gives me an enormous boost of sensory perception and connection with my surroundings. "Nystan" (Yarn Ball) was the first best-selling handcrafted jewellery collection I made; they began to take shape as early as 1997.

I wanted to create a jewellery collection that could be entirely handcrafted, be fun enough to make in series, and not be too expensive. And I found myself falling in love with the simplicity of the thread, how the empty spaces between the threads somehow manage to make us humans fill in and add our own content. And it is here, starting with the observer's imagination and intuition, that the real magic begins.
